Are you an experienced Ocean Freight Forwarder looking for a fresh challenge with a growing global business? We are recruiting an Ocean Freight Operator to join our operations team in Manchester where you will work within our sea freight team to manage day-to-day business cases for export shipments, liaise with our clients keeping them updated on the status of their goods, as well as issue and monitor all the relevant transport/clearance documents. Providing a first-class customer service experience, your role is a highly pivotal position within the business, upholding our exemplary standards and safeguarding the timely export of all ocean freight.

Responsibilities:- Handle day-to-day business cases in the area of sea cargo import and export shipments and delivering of shipments in accordance with the procedures for dispatching and delivering.
- Issue and monitor transportation documents, collects documents for dispatching and delivering of shipments.
- Organize the admission of the shipments into the customs warehouse, export customs clearance, loading into the vessel and the dispatching of shipments.
- Make rate offers to customers and partners where applicable.
- Interface with customers / agents to take booking; coordinate shipments; troubleshoot issues; and provide updates on service disruptions etc.
- Communicate with clients on the status of their shipment.
- Use your knowledge and expertise to think outside the box to resolve potential shipment delays.
- Interact with our business partners across the cargo-partner network, agents, shipping carriers and customs bodies.
- Preferably 2+ years Ocean Import or Export experience.
- Great customer service skills.
- High competency in handling Sea cargo shipments.
