We need you to help shape our borough’s future, balancing new growth planned for the area with preservation of its unique environment and heritage. As a Principal Planner, you’ll have an exceptional opportunity to showcase your skills and experience as part of our management team.
As a fully qualified Planner with RTPI Membership, you will have at least five years post-qualification experience working in Development Management and either management experience or experience of mentoring more junior members of staff and looking to develop your management career. You will also have your own small caseload of complex planning applications and associated appeals and provide sound advice and judgements for a range of audiences.
We’re looking for leaders who can inspire and motivate their own team as well as playing a key role in the planning department management team. You’ll be dealing with colleagues, members of the public, councillors and more so excellent communication and customer care skills are a priority.
