Madisons Recruitment is recruiting for an Operations Manager on a permanent basis for a client located in Hook. This senior leadership role involves overseeing operational performance across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, and delivering excellence in project execution, health & safety, and client satisfaction. The Operations Director will lead project and site teams, drive efficiency, and develop client and stakeholder relationships. Experience in Demolition, Enabling & Remediation Works is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead bid submissions, develop and communicate contract programmes with risk mitigation strategies.
- Work with the commercial team to oversee project forecasting, monitor performance, and meet financial and operational targets.
- Identify and communicate contract variations to stakeholders and clients for timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with HSQE legislation and promote a safety and quality culture.
- Manage workforce planning, including resource allocation, recruitment, and training.
- Provide strategic and technical support to project teams, lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, industry bodies, and partners.
- Contribute to overall business strategy as part of the senior leadership team.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in senior operations or contracts management within demolition, enabling works, or construction sectors.
- Strong commercial and operational skills, with results-driven ability in high-pressure environments.
- Proven leadership, team development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Degree or HNC in a construction-related discipline (desirable).
- Professional membership (e.g., Institution of Demolition Engineers) preferred.
