We are currently recruiting for Distribution Centre Operatives / Warehouse Operatives for our Client based in Manchester, Stretford, M32.

Operative Responsibilities:

  • Loading/unloading deliveries in accordance with operating and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Labelling and packaging goods.
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe workplace environment, adhering to clean as you go policy with a special focus on the company's recycling and waste management program.
  • Ensuring that all Personal Protective Equipment is used, worn and maintained at all times and that all breaches in Health, Safety and Welfare are reported immediately to the management team.
  • Working efficiently to ensure daily departmental targets and Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is used in line with training provided.
  • Undertaking further operative duties of marshalling, cleaning, loading, pallet checking as required.
  • Maintaining highest security standards in the warehouse at all times.
  • Reporting any issues within the Distribution Centre to Management.

Role Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a distribution centre, warehouse or supply chain environment.
  • Physically fit.
  • Understanding of service logistics and its requirements.
  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment required to deliver operational requirements (desirable but not required, training will be provided).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

This is a temp role that might lead to permanent contract for the right candidates.
