Legal Counsel - Corporate M&A / Private Equity

SSQ is pleased to partner exclusively with one of the leading Global Infrastructure funds in their search for a deal focused Private Equity / M&A lawyer. If you love doing deals but want to move in-house to an active fund, this is for you! You will be office based 4 days / week. The legal team in London is small, ensuring maximum responsibility and role variety with a focus on transactional work. Key responsibilities will include: Drafting and reviewing M&A transaction documents, in collaboration with the investment and asset management teams, managing legal workstreams and coordinating with external counsel and assisting with transaction execution. Collaborating with investment and asset management teams on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of management incentive plans. Supporting the asset management team on portfolio company matters, including bolt-on M&A, corporate governance, HR and financing transactions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate transactions, cross border M&A and private equity, preferably along with some exposure to finance and capital markets (on either the debt or equity side) gained at a leading global law firm.
