Funding and Grants

Selected writers will receive specialised training before developing an interactive walking tour of Bellahouston Park, collaborating with GSA and an Industry Producer. We are excited to announce that The Glasgow School of Art's School of Innovation and Technology is recruiting for two paid Immersive Writer Traineeships. These unique traineeships will focus on writing for factual augmented reality, exploring local perspectives on the racialised history and legacy of the 1938 Empire Exhibition, held in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park.

Key details:

  • Workshops: 2-4 days in January (exact dates to be confirmed)
  • Total Number of days: 15 days
  • Traineeship stipend: £150 per day

We particularly encourage applications from writers or aspiring writers from minoritised backgrounds, as we recognise the importance of diverse perspectives, especially in relation to the subject matter of this project.
