The post of Social Worker in the Child and Family Team, Children's Services completes a number of functions and statutory duties, to include child protection and safeguarding in line with the Children Act (1989) and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) 2014 Act. The social worker will co-produce proportionate assessments and Care and Support Plans with families and partner agencies, produce court reports and undertake placement of children for Adoption. The social worker will hold a case load supporting children in need of Care and Support, children whose names are on the Child Protection register and Children Looked after. The post holder will pursue enquiries with regard to allegations of child abuse (Children Act 1989 Section 47) and follow Cwm Taf Safeguarding procedures and the All Wales Child Protection procedures.

  • You will be required to provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
