Hensall Co-op is currently seeking a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual to join our Animal Nutrition division. This individual will focus on prospecting new customers as well as servicing existing customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and build relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drive sales by analyzing agricultural data, making farm visits, and identifying customer needs.
- Work with Feed Mill staff to follow animal nutrition, medication and vaccination plans to meet customer demands and improve efficiencies.
- Monitor product performance as it relates to flock health and provide technical support as required.
- Host producer training meetings to keep livestock producers up to date with any new technical information.
- Maintain accurate records of services and products rendered to customers.
- Develop sales targets and goals and implement plans to obtain.
- Determine appropriate market strategies required to meet goals of individual products.
Job Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in an agricultural related program preferred.
- Several years' experience in ag-retail and/or sales.
- Valid G driver's license required.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong agricultural background.
- Excellent customer service, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical knowledge in livestock feed, nutrition, and new technologies.
- Strategic selling and negotiation skills.
