What does taking part in the Collins Aerospace Supply Chain Apprenticeship Programme involve? Aimed at highly motivated and ambitious individuals eager to be a part of a world leader within the aerospace and defence industry, this scheme is geared towards supporting the accelerated career development of graduates who wish to play an instrumental role in supply chain management for the next generation of civil and military aircraft.
The role is based at our Collins Aerospace Composite Center of Excellence facility in Banbury, UK, which designs, qualifies and manufactures high-performance structural and non-structural aerospace composite products for military and commercial applications. We are looking to recruit a high calibre apprentice who can support Actuation Systems with the effective planning and execution of procurement activities right across the lifecycle.
The scheme will provide you with opportunities to progress your career in Supply Chain Management. You will be part of our enthusiastic community and be assigned a Mentor, who will support and guide you throughout your career with us. All of this is designed to complement your career development, fuel your aspirations, and give depth to your training and career.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience of a number of key processes in order to create a well-rounded supply chain professional which include:
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Orderbook management
- Raising purchase orders and quotations
- Internal stakeholder management

Development and training to build your career
We recognise that your development is key for you to fulfil your potential in the world of work. That’s why we’ve created a programme that will support your learning to deliver real business value. You will start your journey towards becoming a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) professional by completing the Level 3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship with CIPS. Additionally, you will participate in a comprehensive personal development program. By the end of the programme, having completed your academic and functional training, you will have gained an effective understanding of Collins Aerospace’s business strategies and processes, and developed the skills, knowledge, and experience to help us to continue to redefine Aerospace.

Your application will go through a variety of selection methods and is likely to conclude at an assessment centre. Apprentices will start with the business in August 2025. You must be eligible to work in the UK and there may be a requirement for you to work on military-related projects for which there will be a requirement for security vetting.
