Salary: £58,000.00 - £63,000.00 + Up to 15% bonus per annum

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive the growth of our Commercial Services, ensuring the success of procedural, technical, customer service, NVQ, and apprenticeship training programs.
  • Guide your multi-disciplined team in achieving both qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Take responsibility for the overall upkeep & delivery within the training hub and day-to-day operations, including planning & timetabling in a safe, efficient, thriving learning environment.
  • Manage the coordination and delivery of apprenticeships/training/assessments/reviews to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Liaise and consult with customers, outside agencies, professional bodies, and government departments to ensure NVQ, apprenticeship and training programmes meet their qualitative requirements and ensure quality assurance procedures are effectively maintained.
  • Maintain NHBC’s accreditations, including NVQ awarding organisations, the Association of Project Safety, Ofsted, ESFA and other bodies as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A dynamic leadership style with a proven track record in driving success, characterised by a commitment to quality, exceptional adaptability, strong negotiation skills, effective stakeholder management, and a self-motivated approach to achieving results.
  • Extensive Learning & Development background while leading a team within apprenticeships.
  • Teaching/Assessing and Quality Assurance focus.
  • Ability to demonstrate reporting and confirming KPIs regarding apprentice progress, readiness, and compliance throughout the programme.
  • Experience of Ofsted & ESFA Regulatory Framework.
  • A track record of taking concepts through to outcomes/accreditations in a Learning & Development field.
  • Either a construction trade/site supervisory/management background, or a track record of success managing a multi-trade provision.
  • Complete understanding of grants/traineeships/funding models etc. (as relevant).
  • Conversant with and a working knowledge of the complexities of CITB/ESFA and working within Ofsted regulatory framework.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Level 6 NVQ or equivalent vocational experience alongside appropriate professional membership (or working towards) of a professional institution e.g. CIOB, CABE, BSC, RICS Cert.Ed, BILD, IOSH, CMI, CPI etc.
  • Teaching & learning qualification.
  • Either a construction trade/site supervisory/management background, or a track record of success managing a multi-trade provision.
