We are seeking a Middle Office Trade Support Assistant to join JP Morgan's Global Credit Trading Middle Office team in London on an initial 4 months contract to provide support to a wide range of bespoke products, including Credit Linked Notes, Total Return Swaps, etc. Ideally we would like candidates with Middle Office Trade support experience but will consider candidates with any trading or finance operations support function experience.
Role Description
We are seeking an analytical team player who will be actively involved in all aspects of the group's operational responsibilities including booking transactions, performing intraday reconciliation, and validating end-of-day positions. Additional responsibilities include liaising with various internal and external teams, including the Front Office, Technology, Finance, QR, etc. The ideal candidate will be challenged by a fast-paced environment while maintaining adequate controls within the daily workflow processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Captures, timely and accurately, all transactions in the Risk Management Systems.
- Completes intraday/end-of-day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately.
- Works closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support various queries.
- Ensures all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed-off on a timely basis.
- Communicates clearly and concisely with all support teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries.
- Participates and contributes to various strategic initiatives; keeps improving and evolving processes and business architecture.
- Builds an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective.
Ideally some experience in trade support or finance operations support function. Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management skills required to meet critical deadlines and prioritize. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining controls over processes. Strong team player. Willing to dive into the details and understand how processes work. High level of motivation and commitment to ensure accuracy of deliverables.
Please note that this role will be working on a hybrid model of 3 days minimum office-based and up to 2 days wfh. You'll require your own device when wfh.
