Sellick Partnership Ltd are assisting a Local Authority with the recruitment of a Senior Building Control Surveyor to work within their Building Services and Maintenance team on a permanent basis.
Daily duties of the Senior Building Control Surveyor involve:
- Initiate & lead the development team approach for major projects to ensure that building control matters at the request of the building safety Regulator as part of the multi-disciplinary team on High Risk Buildings.
- Participate in, and where applicable lead, corporate, partnership & stakeholder groups to achieve performance plan outcomes on time & within budget constraints.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the building regulations, structural engineering, fire engineering, or other relevant specialism.
- Ensure that Building Control revenues are maximised by maintaining our market share, through efficient invoicing and the determination of applications within prescribed time periods.
- Explore, devise & present technical justification to management team, for specific project proposals.
Essential requirements of the Senior Building Control Surveyor:
- Relevant degree in Building Surveying/Construction or equivalent.
- Registered Class 2 Building Inspector (minimum).
- Previous experience working within Social Housing (Desired).
