A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland's Maintenance Team, looking after some of Scotland's most iconic structures including the Queensferry Crossing. Based in our Queensferry depot and reporting into the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will carry out supervision of a multi-trade team to deliver cyclic maintenance and any associated tasks relating to the maintenance team. It would be beneficial for the successful candidate to have an industrial painting or welding bias.

Role includes:

  • Lead multi-trade team on maintenance activities on major bridges
  • Supervise Technicians
  • Administration of records – timesheets, scheme files etc.
  • Manage team Health & Safety
  • Work to cyclic maintenance programme
  • Produce job/project estimates
  • Carry out inspections of completed works
  • Produce and review Health & Safety documentation
  • Lead Rescue Team
  • Flexibility to lead nightshift works as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • HNC in engineering discipline preferred
  • Must be able to work to strict deadlines
  • Must be competent in Word/Excel
  • Commercially aware
  • Work at Height
  • Confined Space
  • A fully approved UK driving licence
