Location: West Bromwich
Pay Rate: Β£11.44 - Β£12.50 per hour (depending on experience) + 22% shift allowance
Working Hours: Total: 39 hours per week, following a 2-week rotating shift pattern.
- Shift 1: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm; Friday, 6:00 am - 1:00 pm.
- Shift 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm; Friday, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Resistance Welding Technician to join our dynamic team in West Bromwich. This role is integral to ensuring the production of high-quality welded components across various materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to upholding safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup & Operation: Efficiently set up, adjust, and operate resistance welding machines to meet production requirements.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and swiftly troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain peak performance.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to define precise welding requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect welded joints using visual and mechanical techniques to verify they meet stringent specifications.
- Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor the welding process, making real-time machine adjustments to ensure consistent quality output.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production teams to refine and optimize welding processes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production outcomes.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, fostering a secure work environment for all team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in resistance welding within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair welding machinery.
