Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Budgeting: Lead the preparation, monitoring, and management of budgets to support medium- and long-term financial strategies.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the production of accurate financial statements and compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards.
- Strategic Advice: Provide insightful financial analysis and guidance to senior leaders and elected members to inform decision-making and support council objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ACCA, ACA).
- Strong experience in public sector finance, particularly within Local Authorities.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
