Hours are offered on an as and when required basis at £13.98 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance). A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate.
Applicants are sought for the post of Relief Ferries Assistant Pier Worker in Moaness, Hoy. The post requires handling of ships ropes and gangways (as required) during berthing/unberthing operations.
You will be able to show an ability to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and public and the ability to provide a professional service. It is essential that you live on the Island of Hoy.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirement of the Service.
