We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic, and determined person to join us and supervise the security and safety of all users of York Sport, ensuring their enjoyment in all areas of the facilities. Our mission is to inspire everyone to embrace active lifestyles, exercise and take part in sport and to offer the widest range of first-class sport, health and fitness facilities, services, and programmes in the city. We encourage everyone of all abilities to enjoy sport, with a huge range of pay-as-you-go and membership options to suit everyone. We have over 39 acres of sports fields and a range of indoor facilities to support a variety of sports, clubs, and teams.

As a Sport Assistant, you will be highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering first-class service to all York Sport facilities users and an ability to contribute through fulfilling a wide range of practical duties. You will possess an ability to work on your own initiative and a commitment to working within a team. A strong interest in sport and leisure activities and in delivering high-quality service at all times is required. The post holder will be required to obtain an NPLQ within six months of employment if they do not already hold one.

The hours of work are 37 per week. Three-week rolling rota, currently one weekend in three and a mixture of late and early shifts. The salary is £26,250.88 - £26,829.67 per year.
