Remote Tech Lead - Node.js

RemoteStar is looking to hire Remote Tech Lead-Node.js on behalf of our client based in the UK with a fully remote work policy.

ABOUT CLIENT:

The client is building a B2B marketplace for diamonds. They have a presence in London, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and Mumbai.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Remote Tech Lead-Node.js will be maintaining existing features, building new features, and actively taking part in setting the direction of the backend, whether that be code structure, data structure, or feature set.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Hands-on Technical Solutioning of product features.
2. Serve as a mentor on technical, architectural, design, and related problems.
3. Proactively identify technical weaknesses and recommend appropriate solutions.
4. Deployment of code, database migrations, and a thorough understanding of the impact of changes in the production environment.
5. Understanding and augmenting the system and application architecture as needed.
6. Perform Code Reviews and take ownership in releasing new features to production.
7. Report on & improve the output of your team.
8. Liaise with management and key stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience with managing teams.
2. Excellent hands-on experience with Node.Js, Express.Js, and JavaScript.
3. Good understanding of asynchronous programming, callback, and closures.
4. Test-driven development and use of frameworks like Mocha and Cypress.
5. Strong knowledge of Postgres database.
6. Excellent Object Oriented Programming skills and ability to write modular, secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
7. Knowledge about AWS components (S3, EC2, Cloudfront, Redis Clusters, Postgres, etc.).
8. Experience with GraphQL APIs.
