We are looking for highly motivated university students with a clear passion for engineering and innovative technology, keen to gain skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, engineering and manufacturing environment. We are looking for students to join the team for a 12-month industrial placement to gain real-world, hands-on experience within our exciting, market leading company.
The successful candidates will work as part of dedicated teams on long- and short-term self-contained projects and will be mentored throughout their work. You will have the freedom to innovate and develop solutions to real challenges. Successful candidates will come from an engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate a hands-on, practical ability.
The programmes will provide power engineering, electronics and business learning experience and be a significant component in your future development and career prospects in this rapidly growing sector. During the 12-month programme, you will use your engineering background to complete real-world projects and will be supported during your work by members of your team.
During your placement year you will be given the opportunity to work within different disciplines within the Controller Engineering Team, in all cases the tasks being allocated will be directly related to customer projects. These may include working within teams dedicated to:
- electronic design
- product development
- simulation
- assembly automation
- hardware engineering
- design validation and robustness
You will also be given individual projects, which will allow you to test the skills you have acquired and provide the basis for report and presentation at the end of your placement to satisfy the requirements of your particular course.
