The Cross-Asset Trading System (CATS) is a powerful platform that enables Bloomberg engineering teams to build cutting-edge trading applications. Our clients are some of the most demanding trading applications in the world. Thousands of clients use our systems to manage and trade trillions of dollars each day. We enable application teams in Bloomberg to easily compose new user workflows. We achieve that by delivering re-usable and business-agnostic software components. In CATS, performance is critical and extensible architectural design is key. What\’s in it for you? Joining our team will enable you to work on projects that impact a number of trading applications and thousands of customers. You’ll be empowered to lead projects and drive discussions with Product in order to influence the user experience and the design of features. You will have a say on the software architecture of not just the CATS platform but also the trading applications that are built on top of it. We’re extending and maintaining a complex system that showcases and interacts with large volumes of real-time data. Our tech stack leverages modern technologies like TypeScript, Redux, and React. You’ll need to have: Demonstrated experience building enterprise applications with JavaScript/TypeScript Strong software engineering and SDLC practices.
