You will have the opportunity to work with exciting and vibrant SME and global businesses. You will be part of the web development process, from the conception of an idea to the final product. Once a site is live, it will need ongoing maintenance and problem-solving to keep it working seamlessly. You will be an important member of our skilled team with the opportunity for future growth.
- A natural problem solver with the ability to efficiently ‘Solve’ problems
- Willingness to learn, put in the work, thrive on the feedback and collaborate to grow your skills
- Experience in front-end web development (either commercial or via development courses)
- Understanding of WordPress CMS
- Experience with web frameworks e.g. Bootstrap, Tailwind etc.
- Familiarity with Adobe Suite
- Understanding and experience of website design, including best practice and usability
- Must work well in a team and independently
- Managing and interacting with, and presenting work to clients
- Understanding of mobile-friendly design
- Ability to work to deadlines/budgets
Bonus Skills
- Experience with PHP
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
- Understanding of web server management, e.g. DNS, Cloudflare, FTP
- Ability to create website designs
- Understanding of the back-end environment
- Experience with Shopify
We don’t focus on years of professional experience; the proof is in your portfolio. We may also ask you to complete a test task. We’d like to see examples of any work you have undertaken in the digital area, including websites, graphic design, image editing, information architecture, and examples of usability improvements.
Full-time position 40 hours per week with paid 30 min lunch break included. Estimated £25,000 to £28,000 – Salary depends on experience and the value you can bring to Solve.
