My client is currently looking for hard-working and meticulous Accounts Assistants to hit the ground running in the Manchester area. As an essential part of the team, you will be assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations that underpin the whole accounting department. This opportunity would be full time working 37.5 hours per week on a temporary contract initially for 12 weeks, with a chance of extension or a permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining spreadsheets for the department
  • Working with sales/purchase ledger
  • Credit control
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Reconciliation of finance accounts
  • Processing invoices and expense forms
  • Following and using accounts systems
  • Working closely with individuals across the business at all levels

Essentials

  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
  • High input accuracy
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • AAT qualification would be highly advantageous

The hourly rate for this role would depend upon experience.
