Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Assistant is responsible for providing seamless support to both the Finance Team and the wider business in ensuring company tax obligations are honoured in an accurate and timely manner. The Senior Tax Assistant also plays a vital role in preparing accurate calculations and data analysis to provide insightful reports to support sound and compliant business decisions. This permanent position is based upon 37.5 hours/week, which following a successful training and induction period will operate on a hybrid basis, to include three days per week based onsite at our central offices in Letchworth.
Responsibilities:
- Experience of working in a target driven environment dealing with corporation tax and VAT.
- Experience of using finance management systems.
- Possess a logical and analytical approach, with excellent attention to detail and an advanced level of numeracy and IT skills (MS Excel is essential).
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with forward thinking problem solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- ATT, ACA, ACCA, CTA qualification or similar desirable.
