The position of Class 1 Night Driver involves:
- Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Delivering and collecting goods to customers using a curtain sided vehicle.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
- Using a hand held PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Driver:
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
