At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose β to improve people's lives.
Hours: Variable options starting from 14 hours (2 days) per week; 21 hours (3 days) per week; 24 hours (4 days) per week and a maximum of 30/35 (5 days per week). All contracts include working 3 weekends out of 4 and some late nights.
About the Role
We are seeking Seasonal Team Members to join our award-winning Front of House team this Summer. The Roman Baths welcomes around 1 million visitors, and we are passionate about providing engaging experiences that bring family and friends together to create memories that will last a lifetime. This is an ideal opportunity to join our team with varying contract options, working in a busy, enjoyable, unique historical environment.
Duties include:
- Welcoming and engaging with our visitors
- Managing visitor entry
- Selling tickets and guidebooks
- Issuing and collecting audio guides
- Patrolling the site
- Security invigilation
- Giving guided tours
Fixed term contracts available of varying length, options include:
- 3rd March β 31st October 2025
- 2nd June β 30th September 2025
- 28th July β 31st August 2025
About You
Applicants must have a good general education, with a high standard of personal presentation, a very friendly manner and excellent customer care and communication skills. Experience of operating tills is essential and the ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage. Experience of working in a visitor attraction or museum would be helpful as would an interest in history. Full training and a uniform will be provided.
