Freedom network services security division are currently recruiting for a Security Project Manager who can support on major contracts within the Yorkshire and North East region. We are currently recruiting for an experienced individual who has a background in working with intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems. This individual will have a good understanding of technical information and has the ability to complete take offs from drawings. Any experience in technical design of security systems would be beneficial.
The individual will be required to manage teams of engineers, putting them to work, organising materials, managing the financials of the project and writing RAMS for projects and contract works.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Manage multiple low value works/activities, which are to be completed and co-ordinated with the use of all resources including people, materials and equipment for effective and timely completion of work.
- Liaising with technical staff, managers and directors for advice on systems and technical problems.
- Successfully managing and motivating teams to complete projects within set time frames.
- Ensuring that customer needs are satisfied.
- Ensure compliance to NSI requirements regarding installation and maintenance.
- Produce and manage the NSI accreditation through our consultancy partner.
- Ensure adherence to the quality requirements of ISO9001 and compliance with the National Security Inspectorate and to complete internal audits of both projects and staff as directed.
- Be competent in all aspects of the installation & maintenance of analogue/IP CCTV systems.
- Exceptional working knowledge & understanding of IP networks.
- Experience in fault finding and successful troubleshooting on large scale commercial CCTV installations.
- Experience with licensed, large scale CCTV systems and CCTV monitoring.
- Undertake & attend site visits prior to works starting to assess site drawings, asbestos reports and site-specific installation.
- Undertake & attend site visits, to ensure all work is carried out to the required specifications and standards.
- Ensure site safety and daily risk assessments are carried out & all works are being carried out to Freedoms SHE policies & procedures.
- Have good understanding of commissioning and testing regime and ensure all documentation / test results associated with the works has been completed & forwarded to Freedom.
- Liaise with the Senior Technology Manager & provide updates on site progress, project problems / issues & provide monthly information on budgets.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in CCTV installation & maintenance is a requirement, with a good knowledge of Intruder Alarms also essential.
- Security Experience within Commercial and Industrial Environments.
- Confident & client facing as Freedom’s representative.
- Good SHE awareness and positive attitude to safety culture.
- Self-starter and able to work on own initiative as will occasionally be working away from office without close supervision as well as the ability to be part of a larger team.
- Experience of providing the above duties to our client portfolio, confident in dealing with clients demands & requirements.
- A good understanding of technical designs.
- Good IT literacy, including Word, Excel & Projects.
- You should have previous experience working for an NSI accredited company.
- Working with Galaxy & Texecom intruder alarm panels.
