An exciting opportunity has arisen at Cardiff and Vale College for a Junior Apprentice Manager. You will lead and develop CAVC's Beacon Award winning Junior Apprentice programme, whilst driving and supporting the aims of Cardiff and Vale College.

The key responsibility for the Junior Apprentice Manager is to manage the Junior Apprenticeship programme, develop and maintain partnership links with schools, Local Authorities and partner organisations in the region, whilst ensuring the aspirational targets of Quality, Efficiency and Growth are realised.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Be accountable for the management and development of the Junior Apprenticeship programme, taking a lead role in the Junior Apprentice programme recruitment process, liaising with partners in the local authorities, and schools in a timely manner.
  • Provide the Senior HoD with recommendations on Department advancement based on data and aligned analysis within the context of Wales and UK Government priorities, aligned to national and global economic challenges.
  • Take responsibility for the curriculum planning of the Junior Apprentice department, to ensure the department effectively meets the needs of individuals, employers, schools and the community we serve, taking account of sector priorities.
  • Lead the Junior Apprentice department in order to become a learner centred college demonstrating creativity and strong leadership in curriculum, quality and the learner journey in order to become an outstanding college.
  • Be accountable for the analysis and reporting on Department performance and quality of services/provision, utilising and driving relevant agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Implement and monitor strategies that ensure the best possible experience at every stage of the learner journey from application/referral and enrolment through to support and progression of school provision.

You will have exceptional knowledge & successful track record of working with the Junior Apprentice programme, or similar provision. Additionally, you will have strong organisation skills and well-developed awareness and understanding of social issues facing 14-16-year-olds as part of the Junior Apprentice cohort.
