Manual Machinist (Balancer) – F1 / Motorsport – Days/Nights This amazing contract role for a Manual Machinist is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise and skills with a world leading Formula 1 business in Northamptonshire. The person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of this dynamic company on its race/road/hybrid projects. You will be a key member within the team and be required to; * Conduct precision balancing of different engine components such as but not limited to crankshafts * Conduct final preparation of parts before being delivered to stores, (de-burring, polishing &, laser etching * Undertake all final visual quality checks on all components that passes through this department, and reporting all findings to the relevant teams To be successful in this role you be expected to have manual milling and turning experience, any crack testing experience would be a definite advantage but is not essential. You will also need to have experience working in delivering parts within a high-quality engineering-based manufacturing environment. Please note this position is 1 week of days and then 1 week of night shifts on rotation (potentially every 2 weeks if preferred). The night shift is 10pm to 6am and will carry a shift premium.
