The Compliance Partner will support the Compliance team within the Central Corporate Services function. The Compliance Partner will support and enhance compliance practices within our temporary workforce operations bridging the gap between operations and central compliance. This role is critical in ensuring that our business processes, workforce practices, and internal compliance standards adhere to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and best practice industry standards.
Key Duties
- New starter compliance: Complete weekly new starter checks for our businesses supplying temporary labour against both legal and internal standards. This includes all drivers, and driver compliance.
- Visa checks: Complete re-verifications and student visa checks on a weekly basis, to ensure compliance across the temporary workforce.
- Licence checks: Check expired driving documents on a weekly and monthly basis.
- NCR Rectification: Check non-conformances & observations are rectified on a weekly basis.
- Business-Specific Compliance: Enforcing internal compliance standards, specific to our temporary businesses, including face to face verifications and associated document criteria.
- Operational Integration: Collaborating closely with hiring managers, HR, and frontline leaders to ensure compliance is embedded in daily processes. Collaborate with internal teams, bridging the gap between our operational teams and central services to bring insights to inform training.
- Reporting and data analysis: Prepare reports and dashboard analysing any trends or risks for the HOCS and business leaders.
- Education and Refresher: Providing real-time support and education on compliance matters tailored to operational needs. Contribute to Compliance Monthly Briefs & ‘Lunch & Learn’ sessions.
- Upcoming Legislation: Keep up to date with any legal changes via webinars / training on an ongoing basis.
- Compliance Query Inbox: Monitor and answer all queries in the BGI Compliance inbox against internal and recruitment compliance standards.
- Client file management: Conduct bi-annually audits on client files, including conducting credit checks to produce a report to business leaders.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Compliance Administrator, Administrative Assistant, or similar role with over 2 years experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport
- Knowledge of Recruitment Agency practices an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to assess a situation/scenario from an independent/impartial perspective.
- High level of communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Possess strong influencing skills.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in achieving outcomes.
- Strong team player with a collaborative and effective way of working.
- Looks beyond own team and source of knowledge in a collaborative focused manner to achieve outcomes.
