Our client school in Hastings is looking for a full-time SEND Teacher with expertise in teaching at the primary school level. This role is available to start in January 2025 or sooner.

In this role, you will be working with secondary-aged pupils who are working at a primary level and have additional and varying needs. You will teach a group of around 10 students, delivering a primary school-level curriculum in a secondary school setting. Most lessons will take place within the school’s exceptional SEN unit, with occasional sessions in an IT room.

Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Must have a DBS on the update service
  • Experience teaching primary school level curriculum
  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with additional needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning requirements
  • Experience working with SEN students is a plus
