The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Main purpose of the job is to organise and perform Factory Production Control testing associated with the production of hydraulically bound mixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine inspections, sampling and testing and the production of compressive strength specimens
  • Take part in research and development projects

Preferred skills and person specification:

  • Previous experience as a construction materials technician, an asphalt/ready mix concrete technician or as a site technician
  • Experience in granular materials sampling, particle size distribution testing and compressive strength testing would be beneficial

Mandatory skills and person specification:

  • Flexible “can do” attitude
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Full UK driving license

Additional training will be offered as part of the further development.

Working hours/times: 45 hours per week; 0600 to 1600 Monday to Friday, including one hour unpaid break. Occasional Saturday mornings and out of hours working may be required to meet production needs.

Package: annual salary plus the 9% employer pension contribution with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
