Weston Park is a residential and nursing home located on the outskirts of Macclesfield Town situated in a quiet residential area. The home is accessible via a main bus route and easily accessible from the Leek and Congleton roads. Weston Park provides a variety of care for 72 residents over two units. Mulberry unit provides nursing with dementia care and Weaver unit provides general nursing care. In addition, to the existing services we are reopening our 30 bedded service following refurbishment and therefore we require Kitchen Assistants to join our existing team.

Responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant:

  • Assist the team in providing the best tasting and nutritious meals to bring joy to the daily lives of the Residents.
  • Assist with meal preparation and service as required.
  • Carry out kitchen cleaning as specified in the kitchen schedule and specifically requested by the Chef/Cook.
  • Ensure that stores are kept clean and tidy.
  • Wash up dirty crockery, cutlery, trays, and other kitchen equipment as required.
  • Attend and complete all statutory training.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety, Fire, Moving & Handling and Food Hygiene Regulations.
  • Report all potential and actual kitchen hazards to the Chef/Home Manager and assist in managing risk.
