Are you passionate about the environment and eager to gain hands-on experience in habitat management? Join us at Nourish Kernow and make a positive impact on local biodiversity here at the farm. Nourish Kernow CIC is a community-driven, not-for-profit regenerative market garden in Camelford, and we’re inviting you to join us for some hands-on habitat management.

We have a habitat management plan for the site and we’d love help progressing with some of the tasks. We are growing our community garden and as a lot of our time is spent getting the organisation up and running, we’d love someone to help take on some of the habitat management side of things.

We have group volunteer days to help manage the site, but would also benefit from someone who is able to work with the management plan and help determine the tasks required. We’d love to maintain and enhance the habitats here, and not only will it benefit the environment and wildlife but we also hope we’ll have more biodiversity and beneficial insects which will in turn help benefit our veg growing!

As a volunteer, you’ll get to experience the joys of outdoor work, enjoy the satisfaction of seeing your efforts bloom, and meet wonderful like-minded volunteers. It’s a fantastic way to support a local community organisation, boost your mental well-being, and make a tangible impact.

If you’re looking to gain some experience, and get involved in any way then please do get in touch!

When: This role could be developed to a time that suits your schedule and ours. Our current group volunteer sessions are Thursdays 10-1 where we do a mixture of farm work and habitat management.

Where: We are based at Higher Culloden Farm in Camelford. We’re a short walk from the town centre.
