Do you enjoy driving and working independently? Are you a strong communicator, who is passionate about safe working and delivering excellent customer service? Then join us! We are looking for a hard working van driver to join our friendly team.

Responsibilities

  • Multi-Drop Delivery following a sequenced route (average of 8-10 drops a day)
  • Deliver at the agreed locations (including London) considering on-site arrangements and policies
  • Carry out daily vehicle maintenance checks on your truck
  • Make sure loads are safely secured, and ensure that goods are delivered intact and without damages
  • Ensure that the load on assigned vehicle is within permitted weight limits.
  • Work within Health and Safety guidelines and other guidelines that may be issued
  • Select tools and equipment consistent with the work required to complete the days scheduled tasks.
  • Engage politely and effectively with customers, and on-site employees
  • Be responsible for relevant paperwork
  • Maintain full responsibility for vehicles and equipment.
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles (interior and exterior) and, ensuring the vehicle is in a clean and roadworthy condition before and after use.
  • Supervising or helping to load and unload goods.
  • Refuel vehicle as required using company fuel card
  • Start and finish at the appropriate time each day, as required in order to fulfill your duties of employment
  • Ensure that any vehicle accidents, including all other accidents, are reported immediately and complete all relevant paperwork in relation to the accidents.
  • As Precon is a FORS registered company, completion and attendance of relevant courses as and when required, including weekend courses.

Requirements

  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for driving (driver to make sure this is maintained, and CPC hours are completed as required)
  • Valid Class 2 driving license
  • Must be over 18 years of age with the ability to lift 20 kilogrammes.
  • Must hold current and in date Digi Tacho card.
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service
