Habitats & Heritage is looking for research volunteers to dive into the Ravensbury Mill's history, its past uses, and local connections to help us steer it forward.
Ravensbury Mill was used for snuff production right up until 1926 and was one of the last working mills on the Wandle, generating electricity until the 1960s. The present buildings date from the late 18th – early 19th centuries. The building benefitted from a successful NLHF project in 2017-18 but remains on the at-risk register.
Some experience of archival research or good local knowledge would be beneficial.
