About the role:

As an SEMH TA in Woodford, Waltham Forest, London, you will provide crucial one-to-one support to a Year 10 student with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. Your responsibilities as an SEMH TA:

  • Provide 1:1 emotional and academic support.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Act as a role model, promoting resilience and aspiration in education.

What you'll need to succeed as an SEMH TA:

  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology Degree from a Top 20 UK University.
  • Previous experience working with secondary students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent patience, empathy, and communication skills.
  • Passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
  • A strong desire to progress within education and SEN support.

Job specifics:

  • Location: Woodford, Waltham Forest, London
  • Pay: £444-£513 weekly via PAYE (Holiday Pay Included)
  • Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term until July 2026
  • Start Date: September 2025
