Warehouse Operative

Job type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Carlisle – Rural, own transport essential
Hours: Full-time
Pay rate: up to £13.50 per hour, negotiable, experience dependent

NXT is proud to be working in partnership with a long-standing client as we recruit a warehouse operative to join their friendly and hardworking team. This is a busy and varied role, and responsibilities will include:

• Collecting order documentation and delivery notes from the office throughout the day
• Carefully picking and packing products for daily dispatch
• Planning with the sales team for future orders and optimising packaging strategies
• Safely loading outgoing pallets onto trucks for dispatch
• Coordinating parcel collection and assisting with loading
• Managing incoming stock storage efficiently
• Collaborating on identifying low stocks and initiating re-orders
• Maintaining warehouse safety, cleanliness, and handling waste disposal

Skills and Experience:

• Driving licence required
• Forkliftlicense is required
• Excellent eye for detail and ability to work accurately
• Good numeracy and literacy
• This role involves heavy lifting and manual handling
