Lead Logistics Provider
Menzies Distribution Solutions is currently seeking a Lead Logistics Provider to join our team based in Carrington. The ideal candidate will have previous transport-related administration and customer service experience gained within a fast-paced distribution environment. Flexibility and accounting administration skills would be advantageous.
The Details
- Salary: £27,735.42 per annum
- Pattern: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Flexible between 07:30 & 16:00
- Holiday Allowance: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays
- Payment: Monthly
- Parking: Onsite
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage with all external and internal customers in a friendly and professional manner to maintain a positive impression.
- Respond promptly and politely to all incoming calls and emails.
- Address customer queries or concerns professionally, courteously, and in a friendly manner.
- Liaise with the management team to ensure smooth operation of the transport department.
- Monitor and chase documentation supporting the transport operation.
- Produce statistics as required.
- Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department.
- Manage customer orders, ensuring quality, accuracy, delivery timelines, and clear communication with depot staff.
- Handle customer and supplier inquiries and complaints from investigation to resolution.
- Ensure customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled, and recorded manner.
- Maintain accurate records and processes for charging and audit trails.
Key Experiences and Qualifications
- Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel)
- Previous administrative experience
- Strong numeric skills with a focus on accuracy
