Frasers Group Financial Services (FGFS) is a dynamic and growing consumer credit lender, which is currently also operating as an Agent for the purposes of its regulated payment services activities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Advisory Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic compliance advice, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert compliance advisory services across the business, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
- Act as the advisory subject matter expert on compliance matters in relation to an Authorised Payment Institution (API), including the PSRs (Payment Services Regulations), EMRs (Electronic Money Regulations) and MLRs (Money Laundering Regulations).
- Oversee and guide the business in understanding and interpreting complex regulatory requirements, with a focus on payment services and consumer credit.
- Support the SMF16 and SMF17 in the sound and prudent discharge of the responsibilities under these roles.
- Work closely with senior leadership to advise on forthcoming regulatory changes, assess potential impact, and ensure effective implementation of new requirements.
- Assist in the completion of FGFS’ regulatory reporting obligations and any regulatory liaison with the FCA and other relevant regulators.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and industry trends to proactively advise on potential regulatory impacts.
- Proven experience working within second line compliance teams for a Consumer Credit Lender and Authorised Payment Institution.
- Experience in applying for API authorisation would be beneficial.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with implementing the PSRs (Payment Services Regulations), EMRs (Electronic Money Regulations).
- Extensive knowledge of the FCA Handbook, including CONC, and cross-sectoral regulation such as the Consumer Duty and SM&CR.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and its impact on payment services, electronic money, and consumer credit firms.
- Exceptional ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and provide strategic, risk-based yet pragmatic compliance advice.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory concepts to non-specialists.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
