Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client, manufacturing site based in Norwich. Our client is a reputable producer of a bespoke product, due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join their friendly team. Multi Skilled Engineer will provide effective maintenance support to the production operation and Co-ordinate with Factory Manager/Area Manager/Shift Supervisors to prioritise work in line with production requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Diagnose plant/equipment issues and conduct mechanical and electrical repairs as needed. * Identify and seize opportunities for enhancing equipment maintainability and reliability. * Undertake mechanical and electrical ‘project’ work as necessary. * Execute planned and scheduled mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to set schedules and high engineering standards. * -Proactively implement continuous improvement modifications. * Recognize equipment failure trends and take proactive measures to eliminate or mitigate equipment-based losses, including major breakdowns, minor stoppages, and quality-related defects. * Collaborate with engineering colleagues to schedule and prioritise maintenance activities, encompassing breakdowns and planned tasks. * Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to obtain technical support and troubleshoot, identify and procure spares and services, manage technical documentation, and implement machinery upgrades. * Ensure that Risk and COSHH Assessments are current and applicable to the performed activities. * Adhere to all statutory requirements, particularly those pertaining to health and safety. Multi Skilled Engineer will have proven experience in similar role ideally in FMCG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have PPM/TPM experience, pro-active & reactive maintenance, mechanical & electrical skilled, able to read & understand hydraulic/pneumatic drawings. Recognised engineering qualifications are required. We have two positions available, each covering different shift systems.
