TryHackMe is the fastest-growing online cyber security training platform. Our mission is to make learning cyber security easier by providing immersive gamified security exercises and challenges. Having only been around for five years, we’ve grown to more almost 4 million users and our growth isn’t slowing down! The Role We’re looking for a Head of Operations who specialises in managing a distributed and remote Compliance, Finance, HR and IT operations . TryHackMe’s operations functions are pretty minimal to date; we have a two person HR/Talent team and a finance team of two. As we approach more than 100 fully-remotely distributed employees, our people and financial ops are going to be a big part to unlocking future growth. Reporting to the co-founders, you will play a big part in redeveloping and establishing these functions to support TryHackMe’s growth. Opportunities you will encounter across these areas include: Working with finance to set up an FP&A function to optimise TryHackMe’s costs Working closely with HR to redevelop TryHackMe’s hiring and recruitment processes to bring on world-class talent Working with HR to re-develop policies and benefits to address 100+ employees in 30+ countries Your role will be crucial in developing TryHackMe’s operations engine to support and drive business growth as we scale. Primary Responsibilities include: Talent and Culture: Work with HR and Recruitment functions to attract, retain, and develop top talent. Drive a culture of proactiveness, willingness to contribute, and urgency that aligns with TryHackMe’s core values. Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and analysis, helping guide business decisions while maintaining financial stability. Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day operations including but not limited to HR, Finance, IT operations and compliance to ensure all departments work smoothly and efficiently. Streamline processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. Leadership and Strategy: Work with senior leadership to ensure operational efforts align with the company’s overall goals. Encourage teamwork across departments to drive continuous improvement and help the business achieve long-term success. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear communication, alignment on goals, and proactive issue resolution. Foster collaboration and trust to support smooth operations and mutual success. Skills & Requirements 5+ years of experience in business operations, finance and HR, ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS company. 2+ years of people management experience with a track record of leading and developing teams. Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to learn and grow, especially in a growth-stage startup. Team alignment skills. Ensuring teams are focused on key performance metrics and goals. Strong work ethic and competitive spirit. You lead by example, work hard, and inspire your team to reach their full potential. Adaptability. Comfortable with constant change, you move quickly, embrace new challenges, and drive continuous improvement. Relevant experience in business operations; ideally within SaaS/Tech environments. Key behavioural traits : Autonomous and independent. Capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision. Proactive problem-solver.
