Job Title: Governance Support Officer – General Surgery Directorate We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the General Surgery Directorate by coordinating governance activities and supporting the achievement of Trust, Divisional, and Directorate governance, health and safety objectives, drivers, and targets. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and support the Directorate to meet governance, health and safety objectives, drivers, and targets. Oversee deadlines and promote good quality governance systems within the Directorate. Provide administrative support, including arranging appointments, meetings, and preparing agendas, minutes, and correspondence. Act as secretary for Directorate meetings, maintaining accurate records and documents. Manage filing systems, databases, and stock levels efficiently. Collaborate with Directorate staff to ensure governance requirements are met, including risk management and safety initiatives. Develop and monitor governance systems and participate in staff education on governance topics. Ensure proper record entry and reporting via the Trust incident system, Datix. Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational and strategic planning. Assist with organizing workshops, conferences, and events. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies and procedures. Support the Directorate in maintaining up-to-date policies and providing supervision and training to administrative staff.
