Position Overview

Clean Harbors is seeking a Vendor Procurement Manager based in Norwell, MA . The role involves developing profitable vendor relationships, sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and ensuring favorable pricing. The manager will collaborate with business partners on vendor management, evaluate buying strategies, oversee vendor delivery, and monitor vendor performance. Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review requisitions and vendor service requests; approve invoices; maintain vendor pricing and database integrity.
  2. Determine procurement methods; confer with vendors on prices, availability, and delivery.
  3. Manage procurement programs and vendors; expedite delivery; generate purchasing reports; recommend cost reductions.
  4. Review bid proposals; negotiate contracts; ensure compliance with company requirements.
  5. Maintain inventory levels of critical spare parts.
  6. Coordinate with suppliers, engineering, and field teams on new products and processes.
  7. Review vendor database requests; establish payment terms.
  8. Manage and train departmental staff.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Management, Logistics, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in procurement or vendor relations
  • Leadership experience in supervisory roles
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
  • Experience with vendor invoice review, payables software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in high-volume invoice environments
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
