The Role:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the delivery of high-impact, innovative digital solutions across Energy, Defence and Infrastructure. This is a key role within the Digital Delivery Team, contributing to some of the UK’s most critical infrastructure initiatives.
You will be reporting directly to the Programme Manager and be supported by the Project Managers to drive insight, process optimisation and momentum across complex and evolving delivery landscape. You will be responsible for conducting business analysis activities including leading workshops, gathering and documenting business requirements and mapping current and future state processes. You will translate business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications, and work closely with the stakeholders, vendors and QA teams to ensure solutions meet expectations.
This is a role for someone who can bring structured problem-solving to complex issues and is confident in identifying opportunities for improvement in existing ways of working.

  • Relevant experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within complex digital programmes.
  • Strong experience in business process modelling (e.g., BPMN, UML) and process re-engineering.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and management across varied organisational levels.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Skilled in using tools such as Visio, Lucid chart, or equivalent for process visualisation.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a distributed, digital-first team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria in agile environments.
  • Demonstrable experience conducting workshops and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
  • Strong experience with business process modelling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML).
  • Experience using tools like DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart.

Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The security clearance process may require non-British nationals or dual nationals (i.e. those with British and another nationality) to be subject to additional evaluation, depending on nationalities held and the nature of the work to be carried out
