Detailed description

Our Bereavement Support Volunteer plays a vital role in providing compassionate support to children, young people, and their parents/carers who are experiencing grief.

Working as part of a team within our Groupwork programme, your role aims to help children and young people process their emotions, develop coping strategies, and feel less isolated in their grief journey.

You will also work with the parents/carers of the children within the group, providing them with support and skills to help support their child.

Experience of working with children and adults is beneficial.

Our groups are held on Saturday mornings and currently on a Thursday late afternoon. You would need to be available from 3:30 pm, as the group starts at 4:15 pm.

Our volunteers play a vital role in our work, whether helping to set up events, working in fundraising, engaging with local businesses, informing bereaved children and families about available help, or working directly with children and young people in our groups.
