We are currently looking for a Temporary Driver / Warehouse person to join our Aberdeen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering products, goods & parcels safely & efficiently to designated locations within set timeframes. They will also be required to assist with warehouse operations as required.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a wide variety of items to different locations across the Northeast of Scotland.
- Follow route and time schedule.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle.
- Complete logs and reports.
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ensure any company vehicle allocated is fit for purpose.
- Deal with customers’ queries and ensure these are passed to the relevant person for completion.
- Pick and pack customer and warehouse orders.
- Assist loading company vehicles with orders.
- Receive and verify all deliveries.
- Stock labeling of incoming goods.
- Assist in storing, controlling & security of all stock.
- Warehouse housekeeping.
- Replenish warehouse stock.
- Assist with customer returns.
- May be required to carry out additional tasks which are appropriate to the post.
- Full UK driving license – preferably clean.
- License to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles with CPC (desirable but not essential).
- Numeracy and literacy skills to enable completion of paperwork.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required by the company.
- Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change.
- Ability to work within and contribute to a team.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision.
