Electrical Installation Assessor

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Assessor to join our Apprenticeships department at East Surrey College.

This role involves visiting learners in the workplace to assess their knowledge and learning for Electrical Installation courses up to and including Level 3.

Your duties will include conducting practical assessments, monitoring and tracking progress, training, assessing, and delivering the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification within the workplace. A key part of this role is building strong relationships with industry professionals in the Construction sector on behalf of the College. The post holder must ensure that work placements are safe and conducive to learning.

Successful candidates must have:

• A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
• A Certificate/Award in Assessing (IQA or TAQA)
• Proven electrical installation industry experience
• A full clean UK driving license and willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes, as travel to local businesses is required
• Excellent administrative and IT skills
• The ability to plan and deliver a flexible workload

It is highly desirable for candidates to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance and a teaching qualification.
