Various locations available. We have clients in Dundee, Carnoustie, Arbroath, Monifieth, Broughty Ferry and surrounding areas.

Hourly Rate: From £13.5 to 14.50 p.h. with Bank Holiday premiums

Hours per week: from 16 to 24

We are looking for kind, compassionate and reliable individuals to join our growing team. You ideally already have the skills and knowledge you need to make a great Care Assistant, but we can offer you the training to perfect your skills and enable you to take the next step in your career.

What we offer our Care Assistants:

  • Premium hourly rates up to £14.50 p.h. Additional mileage pay (currently 45p per mile)
  • Enhanced bank holiday pay rate

Requirements of a Care Assistant:

  • Full and valid UK or EU/EEA driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
  • Current right to work in the U.K (visa valid for a minimum 12 months - sponsorship not available)
  • Availability at least every second weekend.
  • Commitment to attending an initial 2.5 day training course
  • You live in close proximity to Dundee or in South Angus as travel within these areas is required
  • Willingness to obtain class 1 business vehicle insurance (required when travelling between client homes)
  • SVQ2/SVQ3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (ideal, not essential)
  • Current registration with the Scottish Social Services council (ideal, not essential)

Applicants must be members or willing to become members of the Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme (PVG) prior to commencing in post.

Duties will include:

  • Bringing warmth and positivity into Clients' homes
  • Assisting Clients with their teatime and bedtime routines
  • Personal care
  • Medication administration or prompting
  • Basic Meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping

If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail sales assistant, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, receptionist, administrator, cleaners, warehouse workers and delivery drivers.
