Job Title: Banksman Operative

We are seeking a Banksman Operative to join our team based in Port of Sheerness, Kent. This ongoing position involves working with Igloo Staffing Solutions across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure health and safety standards at entrance and access points.
2. Guide vehicles to designated areas using hand signals.
3. Advise drivers on parking and unloading procedures.
4. Manage traffic flow to prevent queues.
5. Coordinate lane clearing and manage anomaly vehicles (e.g., flat tyres, fuel issues, large vans).
6. Highlight offloaded vehicles and blocked lanes.
7. Liaise with security personnel.
8. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
9. Communicate effectively with car transporter drivers, D&C drivers, and compound staff.
10. Report daily to Igloo Compound Supervisors and Managers.
11. Report driver non-compliance issues.
12. Provide out-of-hours guidance and support when needed, including during adverse weather conditions.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Ability to give clear verbal instructions to drivers and teams.
3. Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
4. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
5. Hold a full Cat B driving license and experience driving manual, automatic, and semi-automatic vehicles.
