About the Role

We are recruiting for a Pig Farm Unit Manager in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Our client is a leading and progressive business in the Northern Ireland pig sector, operating across multiple sites nationwide, specializing in birth to bacon production. Due to ongoing expansion, they seek a Pig Farm Unit Manager to oversee and manage the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a 300 sow indoor unit, from birth to bacon
• Oversee the farm\’s facilities to ensure optimal conditions for staff and livestock
• Operate a wet feeding system for sows and growing pigs; all feed sourced externally
• Work with hybrid Danish and Canadian sows
• Manage a high-input, high-output weekly farrowing system

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing livestock is essential
• Motivated, with a desire for continuous improvement
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Passionate about farming, detail-oriented, and capable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to learn new skills
• Basic English and Maths skills
• Good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
• Punctuality and good time management

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £37,000 – £39,000 DOE
